with 9 kos. Mitrione has only had 5 fights. Personally I think its crazy to be Mitrione unless you get serious dog odds. His first pro fight was at the end of 2009. December. so basically he has only been fighting about 1.5 years. Kongo has had 23 kickboxing matches and 24 mma fights. He is better in every measurable area. -

im going to have to disagree with you guys here. Kongo is the better bet unless his line is outraegous. He is the better striker, better wrestler, probably better jiu jitsu and he is way way more experienced. Kongo can take a punch alright. Trvis Browne is almost 300 pounds, Mir is big and hits hard, PAt Barry is a pro kickboxer that decided he wanted to go for broke and take Kongo out. Mitrione can hit hard...but I wouldn't consider him a better striker than Mitrione. If the line is right, i will make a big play on Kongo.Leave a comment:

I predict Kongo via elbows to the thigh, just like in the Buentello fight. That shit's going to become his finishing move. -->, -->, <--, -->, A, B.
And yeah PP, this card looks like it's going to be awesome.Leave a comment:

It's a relevant piece of info for sure, so it would be stupid to ignore it. But it is worth mentioning that throughout his career even when he gets rocked it virtually never leads to a (T)KO. He finds a way out of it.
Even if you watch the Yvel fight--his one "TKO loss"--it was just some retarded shit where he was ultra-gassed and Yvel was landing little rabbit punches.Leave a comment:

But can we ignore Kongo's chin when he gets dropped twice by Barry and once hard by Mir? I realize it's the heavyweight division but Mitrione hits just as hard as either of these guys and he'll throw hands without hesitation.Leave a comment:

^^but I am guessing BJ/Condit might be at 136. Unless they put Roop/Hioki on prelims. I am guessing Fitch will get a fight on this card since it's his hometown and that's when he can fight again from his injury.Leave a comment:

With about 2:30 left Browne hit Kongo good and backed him up.. then hit him with another big shot and Kongo was on "wobbly legs" for the rest of that round and was visibily tentative afterwards. I guess I should have said "rocked" instead of "rocked bad" so you didn't freak out.
Yes, Browne hit him with some good shots but nothing crazy. At least that's my view of it. We know Kongo doesn't have the best chin, but he only has one knockout loss in 24 fights, and that was after he gassed hard in the Yvel fight and was too tired to move.Leave a comment:

You're crazy, unless you count Kongo grabbing onto a leg after being KTFO 8 times a takedown attempt.Leave a comment:
