Siver will be close to 6 inches shorter and at a disadvantage in reach, really don't see how he wins.

Siver never gets any respect. It is definetly a winnable fight for him.

Cerrone will have to be favored after his destruction of Oliveria . Won't be surprised if he's a decent sized favorite either

Cerrone has longer reach. that means Silver has to close the gap to land. That's when Cerrone lands his TDs. Most of Cerrone's td are well-timed, catching guys coming in. If Silver is gonna win, he's gonna have to keep it on the feet and outstrike Cerrone for 3 rounds. I think Cerrone can more than hang with SIlver on the feet and time one of his tds to steal rounds.

this is tough because I usually bet Siver and Cerrone regularly. In this one though I have to take Cerrone just because he has the better chin, a ton more reach, and just as much power as Siver does. Don't read too much into Cerrone having less KO wins in MMA, he had followed a few guys to the ground who were hurt, and also faced some good grapplers who got caught unawares.

Well I think Oliveiras striking was somewhat overrated due to his go for broke style and his opponents lack of striking ability. No doubt that Cerrone looked above average in that fight though.

I agree that Siver will probably be the dog.

Siver is hard to take down and I don't think Cerrone will have a very easy time getting him down or keeping him there. Even when taken down in most of his fights Siver is able to get back up fairly quickly.

On the feet, who knows. Cerrone is so weird when it comes to his striking. He seems to have good days and bad days. In the first Varner fight he was clearly outstruck and in his recently fight against Paul Kelly he was also getting beat up, much to my surprise. But then he looked like a beast in the second Varner fight and in the Oliveira fight.

I'll probably either stay away from this one entirely or make a small dog play.

I hear you on Verrone. I thought Varner would win. MMA betting can be a mindfuck. It is hard.

Siver-Cerrone. I think Siver might be the better striker. He has to have the better power, he has so many more knockouts. Cerrone might have a reach advantage though. A lot of his standup seems to rely and revolve around leg kicks though. I don't know how effective that will be against Siver, he is a kickboxing champ. Siver is really hard to takedown. However once Wiman got him down he held him down pretty easily, remember the second round? He beat the hell out of him. Wiman is a good wrestler though, and very strong. If cerrone does get him down and into his guard he might be able to sub him. He probably has a good shot from there. Sivers ground game is a question mark, he has subbed people before but we don't know how well rounded he is on the ground. Also, Cerrone is pretty good at landing takedowns. He took down Varner multiple times and I **think*** he took down Bendo as well(though obv bendo got him down and beat him). This fight is a tough call. I bet Siver will be the dog though, if not at open then at some point. I will probably bet him.

I have to say I think Cerrone wins that one, but I know as soon as I bet on him I'll lose. I'm not sure that I've ever won money betting on a Cerrone fight, regardless of if I bet on him or against him.

I bet on Varner to beat him in their second fight.
I bet on him to beat Bendo in their second fight.
I bet on Oliveira to beat him.

Next time I might just bet both sides to guarantee a win.

Wow. Siver vs Cerrone? I think I'll take Siver to be honest. Cerrone could take it but Siver will probably be the dog as usual.

    Donald Cerrone replaces Sam Stout
Lightweight contender Donald Cerrone has agreed to replace Sam Stout in a matchup against Dennis Siver at UFC 137 in October.

I am guessing Edson Barboza or Donald Cerrone will replace him if they don't end up fighting each other.
