Good read about Vera. Sounds like he really has a fire lit under his ass.Comment

You see, I just don't know. I really wish he would climb the ladder a little at WW. I know he was the champ, but that was years ago. I could see so many guys giving him problems--Kos, Ellenberger, maybe Story, maybe even AJ. I think that when he won the title, size was less of a factor and the overall skill level at WW was just a lot lower.
So I guess BJ's gas tank + 167 lb walkaround weight just leads to a lot of questions for me and I'll have to see him fight a few more times before I can make any judgments on where he stands.
BTW, you say you have him at #2 . . . did you think he beat Fitch?
I think a draw was the right decision. 10-9, 10-9, 8-10. But I think BJ is a better fighter. I think Hendricks is going to beat Fitch.2012: +19.33

I think it will stay in that neighborhood, maybe go to -400 or so right before the fight. I don't think it will improve.
But then again, I am terrible at guessing line movements.2012: +19.33

I am overseas and unfortunately don't have registration access to a sportsbook right now, but I would highly suggest that anyone with an interest in taking advantage of live dogs look at the Curran line. Jorgensen has always been overrated in my view, a supposed 'world class' wrestler who fell for the same kneetap a million times against Cruz. I understand Cruz is arguably the best wrestler in the division but you can tell the difference in wrestling skill between him and DJ because DJ made Cruz work for it constantly with different tries while Jorgensen couldn't figure out the kneetap to save his life. In addition to that he is not the best striker either, don't forget that Ken Stone was whooping him pretty badly before he got caught with the guard punch from hell.
I understand Curran may be shopworn (I haven't seen the Goldsby fight) and Jorgensen's preferred method of victory coincides with Curran's most likely way to lose (a grinding wrestled-out decision) but I can see Curran catching him in something before the fight ends. He's very durable as well so maybe an 'over' bet is a good option. He's also going to be very motivated by the fact that he has not been in the UFC for awhile and knows that this may be his last chance.
I still think Curran should lose but not nearly at the same percentage as the oddsmakers do. For that I think it may be worth playing that edge.Follow me on Twitter: @MMABuddhaComment
