I think 75% of them got started as a TKD, karate or kung fu guy.

But as for the ones who I think really use it in the cage, that list includes: Machida, Makdessi, Ryan Jimmo.

That record is his ammy MMA record. I think he just calls himself a MT striker in the way that most mma guys train MT

His UFC bio says he did get started in TKD, so that should make your dick hard. But then he said, but obviously that wasn't going to cut it, so that will probably make you go limp.

Well unless I read your shit wrong, it sounds like he comes from a strong MT background.

    Wha..?

I just mean, he does not come from a specific discipline where I can look up his cred and bank on him winning in that area

    Negged.

By the way, I think it's funny that when you neg somebody it says, "Thanks for deducting from the reputation of this user." The system's like, "Hey . . . 'preciate that shit."

Yeah, Riddle is super strong and solid from top. I certainly won't bet Riddle, was just wondering if there was anything that would make me want to bet benoist. Apparently not though, I guess I won't be betting that one.

Palhares is a very good all around grappler, he is not just a heelhook guy. McKenzie is levels below Rocha in grappling ability (I think).

I don't think McKenzie's wrestling or striking are very good at all. His striking looks terrible to me.

Of course he could grab that guillotine... it is not like Rocha is -500 though. I am willing to bet 2:1 that he doesn't get the guillotine choke. He could just win a pressure decision, but I think Rocha will be able to take him down and/or beat him standing. I think they will both be looking to go to the mat though.

Mckenzie's striking sucks. He relies on pressure and hopes the guy shoots for a takedown. Rocha is better on the feet in my mind. His punches are actually decent and he has power. His takedowns are pretty good too for a bjj guy. And its easier to prepare to defend a guillotine than a leg lock. Mckenzies a one trick pony who isnt good enough for the ufc.

I think Rocha will usually lose to a superior standup fighter with good tdd.

I think he is one of those guys we are just going to have to see some video on, because there is nothing in his history that makes me think he is going to win (other than the fact that Riddle is not good).

Dunham's line is stupid, almost makes me want to bet Bailey. Almost.

Popo did you look at Stumpf yet?

I am just going to be on ROcha as of now. I like Koch, but I am going to stay away for now
I don't understand why all of you guys like rocha so much in that fight

He got totally dominated by cowboy, but cowboy would dominate mckenzie also.
He algo lost to Bret Bergmark with even some judges calling it 30-26. Bergmark is not a super good fighter. 6-2 record

Mckenzie's only problem is his cardio. His striking is not that bad, his problem is his cardio issue.
If he has been working on his cardio, I think that his chances are really good in that fight. His last fight was 8 months ago, that gives him plently of time to have worked on his cardio

I understand that rocha's bjj is really good, but cody's guillotine is so good that he could catch probably even super good bjj black belts.
The same can be said with palhares heel hooks. Even if he is fighting d. Maia who is a bjj master, I could defenetely see him get the sub with his favorite move. just because he is so good at it.
