Redbelt was a travesty. I was so excited about that movie... and then...

I think Angle wrestled 220 in the olympics. Not 100% but he is a big man.

I think Angle was always a HW. He looked big to me, but maybe that was the point -- to have someone who looked like a monster in there.

Anyway, it was definitely the best "MMA" movie I've seen. It was just generally done very well overall, a good character movie. Ultimately, a lot of the implausibility did weigh on me. Most sports drama movies only ask you to believe in one crazy underdog making it to the top, this one asked the audience to believe in two. And of course, all the other unlikely MMA details... Still, those things didn't totally ruin it for me, unlike (say) Redbelt.

As did Kurt Angle. (Saw it tonight. I thought it was pretty good.)

In Warrior AJ plays a middleweight. There's a reason for that.

Rosa is tough. He seems like a brawler to me. I would think Maldanado would eat a guy like that alive. I could be wrong about Rosa though. I know he was working a fulltime job when he got the call for the beltran fight. I put money on Beltran for that reason, among a few others.

Yea maldanado for sure. too bad his line will probably suck. This guys got sick boxing, sick chin, and good defensive wrestling, and a good ground game.

Yeah, he was the guy that was beating the shit out of Kingsbury's body. Rosa is fight at LHW for the first time in awhile, this is him at HW from June:

Thanks for pointing out Grant is debuting @ LW. I didn't even think of that. I will look at it more, but my favorite bet on this card is Maldonado if he is around -200

I have not even looked at this card yet.

Grant has been fighting at 170 this will be his first crack at LW.

Why are Neer and Wisnewski on this card? That seems really random, like it is second chance day.

Kind of interested to see Sassangle fight again. I don't know what his standup is like, but Johnson can probably force a stand up fight.

I like Barry to beat Struve.

Houghland and Easton are going to put on a bjj show, so that will be fun.

Nothing really stands out on this card to me as just needing to be bet.

Yeah, that's the only way I see AJ winning. If AJ wasn't so damn big I would be really confident in Brenneman. Brenneman doesn't seem too big for a WW and AJ may as well go model for big and tall.

I initially thought Cruz/Mighty Mouse would be a pretty close fight, but I keep thinking back to the Pickett/MM fight and thinking Cruz will do the same thing...use his size and get MM down. The thing with this fight is that Cruz is used to having the big edge in speed against his opponents, in this fight he will be the slower guy. Also, MM mixes his strikes up well and throws a VERY fast head kick in a lot of his combos, and for some reason I have some vision of Cruz doing his ducking down thing during his little dances and getting his head kicked literally off of his shoulders.

I think Wiman will probably beat Danzig...he will try to get on top and grind him out.

    Pat Barry/Stefan Struve is silly.

As for the prelims, I like Maldonado to crush Rosa. I also think Roller is going to beat Grant.

I think Brenneman could have some trouble with AJ, in all seriousness. I do like Brenneman to win though. Koscheck took him down and dominated him, I think Brenneman can do the same. But Aj is going to know that Brenneman is going to be looking for the takedown from the opening second. And Brenneman did get knocked out by Hendricks... AJ could keep his distance and crack him.
