If Hendricks was fighting a kickboxer, I would be calling for takedowns. I am sure he would have taken Amir down had he not caught him right off the bat. Other than that, he has fought all wrestlers and BJJ stylists. He has won most of his fights against non-wrestlers with takedowns. That's how he beat Grant and Funch.
Not gonna read, therefore my point stands.

In the fight. But I think he needs to train other stuff too. I will criticize Barry if comes out and looks to grapple. With Maia it is more that I feel he has lost his committment to the takedown. He used just keep trying to drag it down no matter what, eventually, he would get it there one way or the other. Now, if he doesn't get it, he is just lijke "ok fuck it, we can stand."

I like the move, I don't think he needs to work his kickboxing. It is like these wrestlers going to AKA- work on your weaknesses. That is one thing I have never liked about Barry. He has been a pro-fighter how ling now? Years... he should be pretty good on the ground by now.

yeah but if he had any kind of ground game at all Kongo wouldn't have gotten up and killed him.

I'll have to do more research on Neer's opponent. Might be an easy win for Neer.

As for Barry, his T3D is underrated. It's not like he goes down easily.

^^ all I know is that he is another old UFC washout.

Did anyone know that Barry left Duke Roufus and is a permanent member of DeathClutch now? Konrad is cornering Barry saturday... either Barry is getting serious about his takedown defense, or he wants to be a fat wrestler.

Sass has an uncanny ability to pull guard. Its not the same bullshit flop most jj guys use, he sets it up by shooting like a wrestler and usually gets pretty deep on the shot, then while the opponent is still defending the shot, he wraps up his guard and usually has a hold of the opponents upper body as well. once he has the opponent in his guard, the opponent is constantly on the defensive. Plus Michael Johnson has a history of getting subbed.

I would like Sass if they started the fight on the ground. You really think he can get it there?

Someone find some Sandoval and Watson fights. I remember Sandoval almost losing to a guy on a Shark fights card. The guy had like 2 fights under his belt yet he still had sandovals back and almost beat him. Watson is 8-2 with 7 subs.

I kind of like grant in that one, along with sass. Grant should be better in all areas and roller's wrestling doesnt translate well.

Anybody have thoughts on Roller/Grant? Might parlay Johnson and Roller.
