Well I was thinking palhares brute strength would allow him to beat Maia on the feat. He is a beast. If he connects on anyone he can drop them. He can also defend Maia's subs. Thats why I think he could beat him. It would be an interesting fight to watch.

It would probably be really close on the ground. I think the standup would be close as well. I hope they don't make the fight. I badly want Palhares vs. Sonnen.

I think the main difference is stamina. If Maia could stalemate Palhares long enough Palhares would probably get tired, especially if he ended up on the bottom. These guys are polar opposites in pretty much every area. Maia is all about positioning and technical proficiency before power while Palhares could give a fuck how it looks as long as it gets the job done.
