The Vikings had their chance to show some character two weeks ago when they were hosting the Raiders in a pick-em game. They fell flat and lost 27-21 after trailing 24-7 at the half. They have now lost three straight and are 2-9 on the season. Not only are the Broncos 6-5 and on a four-game winning streak, they have a REAL shot at winning their division. Oakland, currently at 7-4 plays in Miami and in Green Bay over the next two weeks, while the Broncos host the Cutler-less Bears next week. The Vikings are on their heels and the Broncos are a train rolling downhill and gaining speed. Minnesota is 0-14 ATS after week 12 when they are off a game in which they trailed by at least a TD after the first quarter, as long as they did not lose the game by 30-plus points. The SDQL text is:
p:M1<=-7 and team=Vikings and week>12 and REG and 19961222<=date and p:margin>-30
Also, Minnesota is 0-11 after week 12 when they are off a game vs an NFC opponent in which they had less than 28 minutes of possession time, failing to cover by an average of 13.5 ppg. See or yourself with this SDQL text:

We have strong evidence that the Broncos will maintain their terrific play. Denver is The Broncos are 9-0 ATS (+7.4 ppg) after wins in each of the previous two weeks in which they threw no interceptions. Also, the Broncos are a perfect 9-0 ATS on the road after a game in which they got at least ten first downs via the rush, as long as they did not win the game by more than 30 points. The SDQL text is:
p:RFD>=10 and team=Broncos and A and 20051002<=date and p:margin<31
Note that they have won their last seven games straight up in this spot and they were an underdog in four of the last five. The Denver players just can’t wait to get back on the field while the Vikings are just fulfilling their contracts. Back the Broncos.
MTi’s FORECAST: Denver 27 MINNESOTA 17
