    Bones Best Bet

Another winning night in the NHL, and a big board today! We love the board today, and will be in on a few more plays then usual. A lot of major standouts tonight.

    Panthers / Jets OVER 5.5 +101 *1.5 Units*
Welcome to the land of Goals Against, please check your defensemen at the door. These teams are two of the worst teams in the league when it comes to goals allowed per game. These teams combined allow 7.63 goals per game, when the total is only 5.5, they would need a defensive miracle to allow three less goals then their average. The over is also 11-5 for these teams this season, and has hit 7 times in their last 8 meetings. We are all OVER this one, mind the pun!

    Devils ML -103 *1 Unit*
The Rangers are getting too much respect here for a 4-4 hockey club. We understand they are under performing, but the Devils have played great hockey this year, and sport a 4-1-2-1 record, good for 5th in the East. Add to that the Devils have won 3 in a row between these teams, and the Rangers are 1-4 in their last 5 against the Devils, as well as in New Jersey. The Devils also have a 2-0-1 record at home while the Rangers are just 1-2 on the road.

    Blues PL -1.5 +185 *1 Unit*
The Blues have already beaten the Predators twice this year, including 3-0 at home. They get to play them at home again tonight. The last 2 times the Predators have come to St. Louis they have been blanked 3-0. The Predators have lost 4 in a row to St. Louis, and are struggling to win games this year going 3-2-0-3. The Blues on the other hand are 6-2 on the season, including 3-0 at home. We love the Blues here.

    Kings -0.5 (IN REG) +109 *1 Unit*
If this was last year, the Kings would be -170 ML. The Kings are struggling, but there is no better team to turn it around against then the Blue Jackets, who are terrible. The Kings have won 4 of their last 5 in Columbus. They have also beaten Columbus 7 of their last 10 meetings. Steve Mason looks to start as well, which bodes well for us - he sucks.

ONE SIMPLE PARLAY - Two big favorites, one big payoff.

Senators ML + Red Wings ML +175 *1 Unit*
The Senators are at home to the Sabres, a team that has dropped two in a row to teams they normally win against. It's not just that, it's the way they lost those games - they gave up a 2 goal lead to one of the worst teams in the league, the Panthers. The game before that they didn't even show up to play against the Canadiens. Now they are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. Add to that the Senators are playing some good hockey this year, despite some recent goal scoring troubles - Anderson (confirmed starter) has still not allowed more than 2 goals in a game. The Senators have also taken 3 of 4 from the Sabres. Calgary has just one win this season, while the Red Wings are 4-3-1. They are also 3-1 at home, while the Flames have not won a game on the road so far this season. The Flames are 2-7 in their last 9 meetings against Detroit - keep in mind those Flames teams were much better then this current squad. The Red Wings are rested have have won 2 of their last 3 games. This is a really nice parlay.

    Senators -1 +133 *1 unit*

PLAYING THE DOGS - The goal here is to win one and make money, win both and we're laughing.

    Lightning ML +105 *0.75 Units*
The Lightning have scored 5 goals in each of their last 3 games against the Flyers, winning each of them. They have taken 4 of 5 from the Flyers, and are 3-1 in their last 4 in Philadelphia. Tampa also sports one of the best records in hockey, starting the season 6-2, while the Flyers are struggling at 3-6.

    Islanders ML +130 *0.75 Units*
Unbelievably the Islanders have won 3 in a row against the Penguins and are actually playing some pretty good hockey this year. We love this number for a home team that have already beaten the Penguins in Pittsburgh this year.

NCAA Basketball Play of the Day February 05, 2013 3:01 AM by GT Staff

Florida -10½ at Arkansas at 4 p.m. PT ESPN

The Gators are the No. 2 team in the nation in covering spreads, but could be looking ahead to next Tuesday’s matchup with Kentucky. That would be a mistake. Arkansas has won 10 straight at home, including all four SEC matchups.

                ARKANSAS +10½

Game: Boston College at Miami (7:00 PM Eastern)
                  Pick: Boston College +13.5 (-110)
Miami is getting all the coverage with their Top 10 ranking and being unbeaten in ACC play, but this is not an explosive offensive team. This team is one that focuses on defense for coach Larranaga. And teams are bringing their best against them, off a one-point game against NC State and a nine-point win over V-Tech. Boston College has a fine offense (68 points per game) with workhorse Ryan Anderson (16 ppg, 8.7 rebounds per game) and freshman Joe Rahon was voted the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. The Eagles are 8-3 ATS against a team with a winning record, and are on a 7-3 ATS run and 7-3 ATS when following a win. That win was an impressive 75-68 one over Clemson. The Eagles are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Miami-Florida and the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take Boston College.

2 for Tuesday by Richard Saber

                    1) Boston College +14 at Miami, FL (ACC)

The Eagles play their best against good teams. This should be a nice spot to cover, catching the Canes off an emotional win against North Carolina State. BOSTON COLLEGE.

                    2) Ohio State +6 at Michigan (Big Ten)

Bad spot for the Buckeyes, catching Michigan off an 81-73 road loss to Indiana last Saturday night that cost them the No. 1 ranking. Wolverines will be revitalized in Ann Arbor. MICHIGAN.

Richard Saber: Last week ATS: 2-0; 2013 record: 6-4.

2 for Tuesday by Mark Mayer

                    1) S. Carolina +17 at Kentucky (SEC)

The Wildcats have Florida in Gainesville next Tuesday and may be looking ahead. Carolina lost there by 39, but is 4-4 ATS in the SEC and have been competitive. Cats 2-6 ATS in SEC. CAROLINA.

                    2) Florida -10½ at Arkansas (SEC)

The Gators are No. 2 in the country in covering spreads, but the Hogs will be riled up in Fayetteville. There, Arkansas has won 10 straight after a 9-point loss to Syracuse early on. ARKANSAS.

Mark Mayer: Last week ATS: 1-1; 2013 record: 5-5.

Blackhawks at Sharks: What bettors need to know

Chicago Blackhawks at San Jose Sharks (-121, 5.5)

The Chicago Blackhawks look to remain the only team without a regulation loss when they visit the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. Chicago started the lockout-shortened season with six consecutive victories before beginning its six-game road trip with shootout losses to the Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks. The Blackhawks got back to their winning ways in Calgary on Saturday, when Marian Hossa scored with three seconds left in regulation and Patrick Kane netted the lone goal of the shootout for a 3-2 triumph over the Flames.

San Jose fell from the ranks of clubs unbeaten in regulation as it dropped a 2-1 decision to the Ducks in Anaheim on Monday. The Sharks entered the third period with a 1-0 lead, but the Ducks capitalized on a strange bounce early in the session to tie it before defenseman Sheldon Souray's blast deflected off Scott Gomez's stick and into the net with 6:39 remaining. San Jose had a season-opening seven-game winning streak end with a shootout loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

TV: 10:30 p.m. ET, CSN Chicago, CSN California (San Jose)

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (7-0-2): Center Dave Bolland is "very likely" to play against San Jose after leaving Friday's game in Vancouver with a lower-body injury, according to coach Joel Quenneville. Bolland participated in practice with the team Monday afternoon. "When you do feel a lot of pain anywhere, you always have that thing in the back of your head that it could be broken," Bolland told the Chicago Tribune. "I'm just glad nothing was broken or was serious." Bolland has three goals and an assist in eight games this season. Goaltender Ray Emery made the most of a rare start Saturday, making a career-high 45 saves before denying all three Flames in the shootout.

ABOUT THE SHARKS (7-1-1): While San Jose's penalty kill has been outstanding, its power play has taken a nosedive. The Sharks killed off all six of their penalties Monday, extending their streak to 27 consecutive successful kills and rising to sixth in the league at 87.8 percent. However, they went 0-for-6 on the power play and are 1-for-18 over their last four games after going 12-for-32 in their first five contests. The chances of breaking out of their slump are slim as Chicago leads the league in penalty-killing with a 94.4 percent success rate. After registering 14 points apiece over their first six games, centers Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton have been kept off the scoresheet for three straight contests. Defenseman Dan Boyle missed Monday's game with the flu.

                                TRENDS:

                                * Home team is 5-0 in the last five meetings.
                                * Blackhawks are 0-4 in the last four meetings in San Jose.
                                * Under is 6-0 in Sharks’ last six overall.
                                * Under is 5-0 in Blackhawks’ last five road games.

                                OVERTIME:

                                1. Chicago G Corey Crawford is expected to start against San Jose.

                                2. The home team has won five in a row and nine of the last 10 - including playoffs - in the series.

                                3. Sharks LW Ryane Clowe leads the NHL with 56 penalty minutes after collecting 17 against Anaheim.
