5-Unit Play. #826. Take UCLA -13 over USC (Sunday @ 3pm est).
The USC head coach who parlayed his Florida Gulf Coast success to USC has been making headlines with a few comments lately. Steve Alford has remained coy and has not said much but without a doubt he wants to run up the score on this coach if at all possible. First of all, these two are rival schools and its good for college basketball if there is some excitement to this rivalry again. Andy Enfield was asked about Steve Alford having more experience and he quickly mentioned how he has more Sweet 16 success than Alford who has substantially more coaching experience. Then in one of their practices, a newspaper man caught Enfield making a comment that USC is an up-tempo team and if they wanted to play slow they should go to UCLA. There's a bit of irony to that comment considering UCLA is a top 30 offensive efficiency team who scores plenty of points compared to Enfield's USC team who is outside the top 150 in offensive efficiency. Regardless, with UCLA coming off a win against a strong defensive team in Alabama in which they put up 75 points (a bit of a down output for them) and now facing a defense ranked in the top 80 (Alabama is a top 50 defense), this team without a doubt will be up to play against UCLA with a better offensive output. And, with USC having struggled against top flight teams this year losing to Villanova by 15, top 100 Utah State by 13 and Wake Forrest by 13 who is also top 100, look for this team to struggle a bit against UCLA after coming off a big win against Howard. USC is undoubtedly going to improve as time goes on with Enfield, but right now they are outside the top 175 in turnover margin and outside the top 250 in 3 point shooting as well. UCLA is a top 30 offenssive team, top 5 in effective field goal percentage, top 30 in turnover margin and 1st in the nation in blocks to boot as well. This should be a great faced paced contest, but look for UCLA to get the better of USC in round one as we have this difference at around 17 points this early afternoon.

3-Unit Play. #807. Take Over 198.5 Toronto vs. Miami (Sunday @ 6pm est).
Toronto will show up for this contest and look to push this game likely over the posted total. You have a Toronto team that will be motivated after losing to Miami 83-90 earlier this year and this is a revenge game for this squad. Combine that with the fact this game went well under the last time these two teams met in Toronto, look for the opposite here as points should come with relative ease as Toronto will be a solid active underdog. Miami also comes a big win against Orlando so they likely will be in a let down spot here as well. Look for Toronto to step up as an active underdog, playing well winning their last 5 straight contests and they seek their 6th straight contests against the defending champ. Look for Toronto to be that active underdog, with revenge and with Miami in a let down spot, look for this game to likely go over the posted total this evening.
