Boston College comes into this home game against Florida State riding a 7-game losing streak. In the Eagles last pair of losses, they have been shutout and held to 7-points. BC has dropped those 2 games against the spread, and are just 2-4 against the spread in the last 6 series meetings.

Based on those trends, one who say; "slam dunk" to back the Sems, but this is a different Seminoles team, a team that enters at just 2-4 and is still trying to figure out how to win with freshman James Blackman under center. On the host side, Boston College has covered 5 straight and are back home after back-to-back road upset wins at Louisville and Virginia.

It's all set up for the Eagles tonight to finally end their long series drought over the Seminoles, but did you ever hear of the term "Bogey Monster"?, Well, the sports definition of that is a team that you just cannot beat no matter what your record or their record happens to be. Florida State is Boston College's "Bogey" team, and until I see them actually step up when Florida State is playing opposite of them, I will play against the Eagles.

State makes it an 8-game series win streak over BC with this Friday win and cover by a solid TD.

            4* FLORIDA STATE

My free play for Friday night is in College Football, as I like the SMU Mustangs to throttle the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

SMU quarterback Ben Hicks ranks among the leading passers in the AAC right now, and I think we're going to see him have a big night against one of the conference's worst defensive units.

Tulsa has the second-worst opposing passer rating allowed, as it is allowing 258.5 yards per game through the air.

On the other side of the ball, there is Tulsa freshman Luke Skipper, who replaced Chad President at quarterback, and I think will struggle. I know SMU's defense can be sketchy, but at home on a Friday night, the line will come up with several big plays to thwart the Hurricane.

Trust me, the Mustangs are headed in a good direction and appear to be making a run to the AAC Championship Game.

                Now about this complimentary winner

My free play is a lookahead to Saturday, as I like the Mountain West battle in Laramie, where the Wyoming Cowboys host the New Mexico Lobos.

I think more than anything with this game that stood out to me was why in the hell Wyoming opened a 3-point favorite, and was moved to a 2-point underdog. Who is betting the Lobos, and why?

The Lobos have said they're plan to continue their two-QB system, which is nothing special. They have some injuries, like every team this time of year, and so does Wyoming. But nothing significant. And there is nothing on New Mexico's side to make them look like a better team right now, than they were a couple days ago.

The reason I'm giving you this early is because it is very possible we see this line come back. And as long as the oddsmakers saw something to make Wyoming a 3-point favorite on Sunday, I'll side with the experts.

                5* WYOMING

Wizards at Warriors 10/27/17 - NBA Picks & Predictions

                  by Mike

                  Latest Odds : GS -11 Total 232

Washington won its first three games before going down against the Lakers on Wednesday night. The Wizards are still one of the best teams in the East and should put up a high win total this season.

Against Los Angeles, Washington surrendered a tip-in to tie the game at the end of regulation and lost by three points in overtime. Despite the loss, Bradley Beal had another big offensive game for the Wizards, with 28 points on 11 of 23 shooting.

John Wall, on the other hand, didn't play one of his best games against the Lakers, with 18 points on just 7 of 22 shooting. He also turned the ball over four times.

The Wizards are one of the best offensive teams so far this season. They average 114.7 points per game, which ranks fifth in the NBA.

There's already been some drama surrounding Golden State, and the Warriors have dropped two of five games thus far. Since Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were ejected in a loss against Memphis, Golden State has won back-to-back games against Dallas and Toronto.

In Wednesday's win against Toronto, Curry scored 30 points on 9 of 20 shooting. Last season was one of Curry's worst in terms of shooting from beyond the arc. This season, he's started out with a .366 3-point percentage, which is well below his career mark of .437. However, he's still averaging 29.0 points per game early in this season to rank third in the NBA.

                  Recent Betting Trends:
Wizards are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference.
Warriors are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Southeast.
Over is 23-11-1 in Wizards last 35 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Over is 20-8 in Warriors last 28 overall.

Free Betting Pick: Washington Wizards +11

The Warriors have not been good covering spreads this year, Golden State is just 1-3 ATS including barely winning last time out. Talented Wizards guards will do plenty to keep this game close right to the end. Final Score Prediction, Golden State Warriors win but fall short ATS 109-101.

You're getting my free play for Saturday, because I'm not interested in NBA at this moment, and would be forcing something on you I'm not even playing. So, my comp winner is on the Utah State Aggies plus the points against the Boise State Broncos. Far too many points to give a team that is used to stepping up at home. The Aggies tuned up for this one with a blowout win in Las Vegas last week.

And I'm not saying the UNLV Rebels are like the Broncos, or vice versa, but I can tell you this much, Boise State's offense is lacking fire power like it used to. So if the Broncos plan on clamping down on defense, the Aggies will do the same in shutting down the 111th total offense in the nation.

Boise State only scores 28.3 points per game. That's not a lot considering this used to be one of the most high-powered offenses in the country. With the 89th rushing game and 92nd passing game, I don't see the Broncos going into Logan and challenging a rugged Utah State team.

                    I'll play the home pup.

                    1* UTAH STATE

Raptors at Lakers 10/27/17 - NBA Picks & Predictions

                      by Adam

                      Latest Odds : TOR -6.5 Total 226

The Toronto Raptors (2 - 2, 0 - 2 Away) are on the road to kick off Friday night with a match against the Los Angeles Lakers (2 - 2, 1 - 2 Home). Los Angeles will be taking the court just two days removed from a thrilling overtime win against Washington. Toronto has been beaten in their past two games, losing to Golden State and San Antonio. Los Angeles will be hosting at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA.

The Toronto Raptors are banged up in their front court right now with both Jonas Valanciunas and Lucas Nogueira sidelined due to injury. As a result, Toronto is having to play relatively small at times so as not to lean on players like Jakob Poeltl. Toronto is averaging 114 PPG on offense this season while shooting 46% from the field. DeMar Derozan (23 PPG on 49% shooting) continues to be the motor that keeps the engine running and he's primed for a huge game against LA's lax defense.

The Lakers have been competitive almost every night and that's a boon for such a young team. Los Angeles is averaging 110 PPG on offense while surrendering 114 PPG to opposing teams. Super-rookie Lonzo Ball (12 PPG, 9 APG, 9 RPG) continues to impress as an all around impact-player. Ball has, perhaps, one of his toughest match-ups yet with Kyle Lowry on the other side of the ball.

                      Recent Betting Trends:
Raptors are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games.
Under is 7-3 in Raptors last 10 Friday games.
Under is 7-2 in Lakers last 9 overall.

Free Betting Pick: Toronto Raptors -6.5

The Lakers rallied around their rookie PG Lonzo Ball and got big home win last time out - but tonight LA young team can't follow it up. This Raptors team shows their great team when Toronto nearly won at Golden State last time out - tonight it's Toronto finishing it off this time. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win and cover ATS 103-94.

Thunder at Timberwolves 10/27/17 - NBA Picks & Predictions

                        by Jim

                        Latest Odds : OKC -1 Total 202

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost to Minnesota on the Thunder's court, by two points last Sunday. On Friday the Thunder have a chance to return the favor as they play in Minnesota. The Thunder are 2-2 thus far, and the Timberwolves are 2-3.

In that game, Jimmy Butler had 15 points and six assists. He has had a cold this week and may not play Friday. He also leads the team in steals at two per game. Minnesota has won its two games by a total of five points. its three losses have been by an average of 20 points.

Karl-Anthony Towns leads the Wolves at 23.2 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Andrew Wiggins is averaging 20.4 points. Towns is shooting 60 percent overall, and the team is shooting 46 percent, and 37 from behind the arc.

The Thunder won its last game, ending a two-game skid and evening its record. Russell Westbrook got another triple-double in his last game, now has 81 for his career, and is fourth all-time in that department. He is not having to shoulder as much of the load this year as he did last season.

Westbrook is averaging 21.5 points, 12.8 assists, and 9.5 rebounds. Carmelo Anthony is averaging 24.8 points. Nets at Knicks 10/27/17 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The two teams in the Big Apple have been terrible over the last five years. Both are trying to develop young talent and a new identity in the 2017-18 season.

Brooklyn has started positively, with three wins in five games. The Nets beat the Cavaliers in a surprising result on Wednesday night. They had eight fewer turnovers than Cleveland en route to a 112-107 victory. Point guard Spencer Dinwiddie led all Brooklyn scorers with 22 points. He knocked down 4 of 8 3-pointers in the game.

D'Angelo Russell leads the Nets in points and assists per game, but a knee injury kept him out against the Cavaliers. Russell has a real chance to blossom this season, but nagging pain would hurt Brooklyn's chances of showing any signs of improvement this season.

The Knicks are 0-3 and have really struggled on the offensive end as they've begun their season. They average just 93.3 points per game, which ranks last in the NBA. On Tuesday they managed just 89 points against Boston after putting up just 33 first-half points.

Kristaps Porzingis leads New York in scoring with 25.3 points per game. That's not a surprise, as Porzingis is the lone star left on the Knicks roster. He had 31 points and 12 rebounds against Oklahoma City in New York's opener. However, that game highlighted just how shallow the offensive talent is for the Knicks. Despite the big night for Porzingis, New York scored just 84 points as a team.

                          Recent Betting Trends:
Nets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win.
Knicks are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss.
Over is 3-1-1 in Nets last 5 overall.
Under is 7-3-1 in Knicks last 11 games following a straight up loss.

Free Betting Pick: Brooklyn Nets +2.5

Wrong team favored as this Nets team is much better than expected and after big upset over Cavs last time out that confidence carries over tonight. Knicks on the other side have shown little to be excited about and don't see it changing tonight. Final Score Prediction, Brooklyn Nets win and cover ATS 106-102.

The Spectrum Center will play host to a Friday night NBA matchup between the Houston Rockets and Charlotte Hornets. The Rockets have won four of their first five games to start the season and are coming off a dramatic 105-104 road victory against Philadelphia on Wednesday. Eric Gordon’s three-point shot at the buzzer lifted Houston to the win. The Rockets were outrebounded 57-43 on the night.

Eric Gordon scored a game high 29 points, while James Harden contributed 27 points and 13 assists. Clint Capela added 16 points and 20 rebounds for the Rockets.

After failing to qualify for the postseason last year, the Charlotte Hornets went out and signed Dwight Howard to give them a better defensive presence at the rim. That has paid dividends through the first four games, as Charlotte ranks 6th in points allowed at 97.3 per game. On Wednesday, the Hornets outscored the visiting Denver Nuggets by 19 points during the second quarter of a 110-93 victory. Charlotte limited Denver to 39 percent shooting on the evening.

Frank Kaminsky tallied a game high 20 points on a 9-for-15 shooting performance in 28 minutes off the bench. Dwight Howard chipped in 15 points and 19 rebounds for the Hornets.

Houston F Trevor Ariza (foot) and G Chris Paul (knee) will not suit up for this contest. The Rockets rank 2nd in the league in offensive efficiency and their ability to spread the floor will nullify Howard’s inside presence for the Hornets. Final Score Prediction, Houston Rockets win and cover ATS 110-103.
