The fact that the Ravens have this game at home with the 49ers making the cross-country trip for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff was the deciding factor for me. I have little doubt Baltimore will win, but I did expect the spread to be a bit closer to 4. Ultimately, though, this pick rests with the Ravens defense, which should be able to stop the 49ers run, force some punts and give Lamar Jackson additional opportunities. We have yet to see San Francisco need to go out and win a game against a team of this caliber, and the one time it was in a similar situation, it lost to Seattle. Nothing against the 49ers here, but the Ravens look unstoppable.

The Packers are a massive public side here and for good reason. The Giants stink. Also, to be honest, Green Bay has kinda stunk over the last few weeks, which is why this is the perfect get-right spot for Aaron Rodgers & Co. The Packers have lost two of their last three and got absolutely embarrassed by the 49ers. New York neither has the playmakers to keep up nor the defense to stop Rodgers consistently. Double-digit win for the Pack.

Orlando Tourney 3rd place game. Temple off a big win against Texas AM and lost in this tourney to Maryland who is playing in the championship game today, and that loss was by only 7 points and the Owls only loss of the season. Davidson after getting waxed by Marquette in this tourney where they went 0-15 from 3-point range, beat Fairfield. Temple is better on the defensive end BY FAR, and more consistent from the floor and I feel Davidson will have issues making shots from outside here.

7-Unit Play. #509. Take Miami Heat -4 over Brooklyn Nets (Sunday @ 3:05pm est)

We roll with the Heat today as this is a great spot for them to do well. Remember, this is a Miami Heat team that is turned it up slowly with great talent in Herro, Butler, Dragic and Winslow and they remember the loss at the hands of the Nets last year and they also remember that this Nets team just beat Celtics. The difference between the Heat and Celtics is that the Heat can lock down on defense as that is their identity which is why they have risen so quickly in the East. They have scoring, youth and they face a Nets team that has played out of their mind due to 26 year old Spencer Dinwiddle who has filled in masterfully for the injured Kyrie Irving (back next week). I like the Heat to not take these Nets lightly here especially given the fact the Nets just beat the Celtics, like the Heat's depth a lot more here and their defensive intensity and I think the Heat get it done here from start to finish this late afternoon. Note, 4 NFL Selections today and 2 CBB Selections and 1 NHL Selection. Let's win the NBA Today and move up to +4500 on the year.

We like the Over here as we think that GW remembers the 30+ beatdown they took at the hands of South Carolina last year in Connecticut and we also like the fact that South Carolina comes off back to back losses for the first time this year and likely bounces back with a solid offensive performance as well. GW has really turned its season around quickly after a slow start beating Evansville scoring 78 points against them which is not that easy to do and you combine that with GW probably being an active dog here and South Carolina again coming off two tough games, the juice is high for the speed and tempo of this game to be higher to see this contest likely go over the posted total here.

Let me tell you something, West Virginia is for real. After winning 15 games last year and getting trucked in the Big 12, Huggins has a good experienced team who is playing extremely hard on the defenisve end. This team dominated Wichita State and their defense is second to none in our books and if Rhode Island had their issues against Maryland lossing by 17, I think they will have some serious issues against WVU. Rhode Island went 1/9 from 3 point land last game and they are big on the inside but the difference is so is WVU and they play impeccable defense and they have revenge from losing last year to Rhode Island as well. WVU rolls here this afternoon.
