Hornets (+) over Nets- The past two days were not good for Brooklyn who is secure with the No. 7 spot in the East and are off of a 112-104 overtime loss at Philadelphia and received news that Kyrie 'World is Flat' Irving (How about the Duke education) will sit out the rest of the season. The truth is that Brooklyn is better without Irving in the line-up than they are when he plays. But, the Nets are ladened with an injury plagued team that has trouble putting out a consistent product as they are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games. It doesn't look all that much better form the Hornets side as they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games at home and a paltry 2-6 ATS as home underdogs. Still, tonight the Hornets will sting...take CHARLOTTE!Comment

The Sooners had back to back huge games last weekend and then this week vs Kansas & Baylor. They felt they needed to win one of those to push themselves off the bubble and solidly in the tourney. They lost both including their home game with Baylor on Tuesday. Despite this being a rivalry, we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see OU come in a little flat after those 2 huge games. They also beat Oklahoma State 82-69 at home earlier this year so that adds to the potential flat spot. OSU is playing better as of late and since they won’t be dancing this year, this game is their Super Bowl. Since losing to OU the Cowboys have won 3 of their last 5 games including a solid win over a very good Texas Tech team here last Saturday and a tight 8 point loss @ Baylor prior to that. Their only losses during this 5 game run have come @ Baylor and @ West Virginia, two of the top teams in the nation. Their defense has played very well over the last 5 games allowing opponents to hit just 41% of their shots overall and only 29% from deep while allowing 65 points. That should play well today vs an Oklahoma team that only averages 65 PPG on the road with just a 1-5 SU record on the road in Big 12 play this year. That lone road win came @ Texas in early January and the Sooners have since lost 5 straight roadies. The host has covered 5 of the last 6 in this rivalry and there is a reason that a 3-10 team (Big 12 record) is favored over a NCAA bubble team. Take Oklahoma State in this one.Comment
