I will gladly lay a little juice with the red-hot Astros on Monday. Houston has won 4 straight. They are now 5-1 on their current 8-game homestand.
While their bats cooled off a little over the weekend, this is an offense that can go off on opposing pitchers. Houston is scoring 5.5 runs/game at home. They are also putting up 5.9 runs/game vs left-handed starters.
Colorado will send out lefty Kyle Freeland. It's been a strong start to 2020 for Freeland, who is has a 2.45 ERA and 1.091 WHIP in 4 starts. However, Freeland has flirted with disaster in a number of those starts. This is by the far the best lineup he will have seen.
Houston will turn to rookie Brandon Bielak, who has really impressed to this point. Bielak has a 1.76 ERA over 4 appearances (2 starts).
I also feel like this is a good spot to fade Colorado. The Rockies will be playing their first game one the road after 6 straight at home. While they did win on Sunday, they were just 2-4 on the homestand. Give me the Astros -150!
