Thursday's free play is for the Phillies to continue their Over clip which now stands at 12-2 for their last 14 games played after last night's game played in the Bronx against the New York Yankees.

Atlanta comes to the City of Brotherly Love hoping their bats get some love, as they were held to just a pair in the opener of their doubleheader yesterday at home against San Diego. In the second game, rain suspended the action, so the Braves hit Philly with Unders played in their last pair. That after each of their previous 5 games had landed Over the posted price.

Charlie Morton and Matt Moore will be charged with keeping the hitters at bay, but 2 of Morton's last 3 starts have played Over the total this season, while Moore has seen 6 of his 7 starts overall this season play Over the total.

6 of the last 9 season series meetings between these East Division rivals have played Over the total and I think this one does too.

Braves-Phillies start their long 4-game set with an Over.

Thursday free play is the Dodgers on the Run Line to salvage the split with their division-rivals the Giants.

San Fran stunned L.A. with 3 runs in the 9th last night to take it 4-2 and make it 2 of 3 this week in the City of the Angels.

Tonight is real simple, because as good as Anthony DeSclafani has been this season, there is one team he has not figured out and that is the Dodgers.

Versus L.A. this year, DeSclafani is 0-2 with a 10.95 ERA in his 3 starts against the Dodgers.

Conversely, Walker Buehler is 2-0 in his 3 starts against the Giants for the season with a 0.92 ERA. For his career, Buehler is 6-0 with a 2.17 ERA against San Francisco.

My free play is the Los Angeles Dodgers on the run line in the series-finale against the San Francisco Giants.

Los Angeles hands the ball to its top pitcher Walker Buehler, who is 6-1 at Dodger Stadium with a 2.31 ERA.

But what's most important to point out is he is 6-0 against the Giants in 10 appearances, with a stingy 2.17 ERA. Of the 10 appearances, he's started eight times and the Dodgers have won seven of those games.

In three starts against the Giants this season, Buehler is 2-0 with a wicked low 0.92 ERA.

And with the way the Dodgers have been playing since late June, I don't see how they let Frisco leave Chavez Ravine with a win. Los Angeles has won 15 of 22 thanks to an offense that has stroked 43 home runs - almost two per game - and is averaging 6.0 runs per game.

In that same span, the pitching staff has a 2.92 ERA while the defense as a whole is allowing a mere 2.8 runs per game.

Buehler will dominate, and the Dodgers will roll.

Saturday I delivered Milwaukee's Brandon Woodruff going Over the 7 1/2 strikeouts for a free winner.

Sunday it was St. Louis lefty Wade LeBlanc going over 2 1/2 Ks for the complimentary play.

Tuesday it was Cardinals pitcher Johan Oviedo going over 4 1/2 strikeouts for another freebie.

I have another player prop for you tonight, as I'm playing Cleveland Indians starter Cal Quantrill Over the 4 1/2 strikeouts, as he should be able to put down a handful of Tampa Bay Rays, bare minimum.

Quantrill has made a fantastic transition from reliever to starter. His first 17 appearances came out of the bullpen, but nine of his last 10 have been starts. He's done well at home this season, going 1-0 in 13 in Cleveland, and he's been exceptional in his last two appearances, at home vs. Kansas City and in Oakland.

Impressively, he struck out five Athletics hitters his last time out. Now, Quantrill faces the worst team in terms of striking out, as the Rays have struck out a league-most 975 times.

In 96 games, the Rays have finished with less than five strikeouts just two times. They've struck out at least 10 times in 59 games. And this month alone they're averaging 9.2 strikeouts per game.

If there were going to be a game Quantrill registers a season-high in strikeouts, this could be it.

Thursday free play is the Mariners over the Athletics.

Oakland comes into this key series against their division-rivals winners of their last pair and 5 of their last 7 overall.

Seattle has been able to keep themselves in the thick of things by winning 6 of their last 9 games overall. The Mariners own a solid 29-20 mark at home this season and they will be starting Chris Flexen who has been very tough when pitching in his home ballpark this season.

Flexen stands at 6-2 with a 1.76 ERA in his 10 home starts to date. One of the losses however did come against the A's and starter Sean Manaea back on June 2nd when Manaea went the distance on a 4-hit shutout.

These teams have split their 6 season series meetings thus far this season and tonight I like Flexen to return the favor on Manaea from their June 2nd showdown.
