My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Saturday afternoon was with the Memphis Grizzlies minus the points versus the Orlando Magic. Memphis (36-18) has won four of their last five games with their 120-118 win at New York as a 4-point favorite on Wednesday. The Grizzlies have covered the point spread in 10 of their last 14 games after a straight-up win. They have also covered the point spread in 15 of their last 19 games on the road. Orlando (12-41) has won three of their last four games as well in their 119-118 upset win at Indiana as a 3.5-point underdog on Wednesday. The Magic have failed to cover the point spread in 4 of their last 5 games after a straight-up win. Orlando is also just 8-23-1 ATS in their last 32 games on their home court. The Grizzlies may not have Ja Morant for this one as he is listed as questionable with an ankle injury — a reason why I did not officially endorse this play. But, I would not be surprised if his teammates step up their play in his absence. Take Memphis minus the points. Best of luck — Frank.

They had won 11 in a row heading into that game, and here they'll face a Washington team in a potential letdown spot after avoiding a seventh straight loss with an upset win at Philadelphia on Wednesday. Suns are 18-8 ATS in the last 26 meetings. Suns are 12-3 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Washington. Wizards are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.

I'll take my chances with the Wildcats as a 1.5-point dog at Alabama. I know winning in Tuscaloosa is no easy task, but no way should they be a dog in this fight. I think Kentucky is significantly better now than they were to start the year. They are 11-2 over their last 13 games with their only two losses coming at LSU and Auburn. Two of the best defensive teams not just in the SEC but the entire country.
Alabama isn't winning games with their defense. The only team with a worse defensive efficiency mark SEC play is an awful Georgia team. Crimson Tide don't rank in the top 5 in any major defensive category.
Kentucky is No. 4 in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency. They are also No. 1 in the SEC in effective FG% and best in the conference in taking care of the basketball. Give me the Wildcats +1.5!
