A new gentleman is making the morning line this year and it has been pretty off, so I recognize that some of my longshot picks, which are based on a morning line of at least 8-1, are not ending up as long shots. This one certainly won't end up as the longest shot in the field and probably not 20-1, but there is still a lot of value here. These out of town connections take their crack at the big leagues today with this gelding that ripped a fast workout here last week and snuck in here last fall to win an optional claimer at 22-1. That race happened to be his career best, so that could indicate that either the horse really likes the track here and/or that the connections only come here with live ones.
