MAYSVILLE MISS - When Farrior gives Bocachica a leg up on any mount, you know that with their win pct you have at worst a fighting chance. Last time, was entered in a race at Charles Town in a race with a class figure of 70. Dropping considerably in Equibase class figure this time around puts her in a solid position right here in this race. This filly should be in top form, this far into her form cycle. BUNNY PRINCESS - Getting a weight break of 5 pounds from last race at Charles Town on October 15th. Its possible this could make the difference right here in this race. Adding blinkers occasionally leads to a better effort on the racetrack.

SHESAHUMBLEHUSTLER - You always think this horse has a shot to cross the finish line in first, but she fails frequently. In any event of 7 furlongs, I like to bet on a contender that has been sharp in sprint contests of late. Don't think this entrant will do much running today. That last speed rating was quite unimpressive when compared with today's class rating. Once you've got at least ten races at the oval and still have no victories, its tough to break through for a victory. MANGORITA - Could be tough for this animal to beat this field off of that last fig. Unlikely to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's class rating, so put her on the questionable challengers list. WHY LEA - This filly hasn't had any recent good fortune in short distance contests. Not easy to bet on her in this contest. The Equibase speed figs are going downward. I'm not playing this steed off of that trend.

Caldwell has a reliable 25 percent win rate with entries running at this distance and surface. Highly ranked earnings per start at the distance/surface in this group. JACKMAN'S RIDE - Sharp profits have been scored by players using this jockey and conditioner twosome recently. Has competitive Equibase Class Figures relative to this group of horses - worth a look. BLING MOUNTAIN - Has to be carefully examined versus this group displaying competitive numbers recently and an average speed fig of 77 under similar conditions. This gelding notched a good figure of 49 in his last race. That speed rating should be strong enough to triumph this time around. CLASSY BOY - Vasquez is back for another contest today after getting on board this equine for the 1st attempt on October 2nd and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better.

Could best this group based on the speed fig - 57 - of his last effort. EAGLE BRAND - I would give the nod to this filly on the rider and trainer numbers alone.

Clay Helton is doing a tremendous job in his first season at Georgia Southern. The Eagles are 5-3 this season and on the verge of qualifying for a bowl game with a win Saturday at home over South Alabama. This is also a great spot for them because they are coming off a bye week, so they have had two full weeks to get ready for the Jaguars.
Georgia Southern was even competitive in all three losses, which all came on the road. They lost by 14 at UAB despite outgaining them by 5 yards, lost by 4 at Coastal Carolina as 10-point dogs and lost by 8 at Georgia State. They also upset Nebraska as 23-point road underdogs.
The Eagles are a perfect 3-0 SU & 3-0 ATS at home this season. That includes a 45-38 upset win over James Madison as 13-point underdogs to hand the Dukes their first loss of the season. The Eagles racked up 590 total yards on James Madison, which has one of the best defenses in the entire country.
South Alabama has been just getting by of late and I think their luck runs out this week. They are 3-1 SU but 1-3 ATS in their last four games overall. They won 20-17 as 8.5-point favorites at Louisiana, 41-34 as 17-point home favorites over Louisiana-Monroe, and lost 10-6 at home to Troy as 3-point favorites. They did crush Arkansas State last week, but that's an Arkansas State team that is missing several key players due to injury.
The Jaguars have benefited from playing a very easy schedule that ranks 128th in the country in difficulty. They have especially faced a weak schedule of opposing offenses this season, which has helped their defensive numbers. This will be a big step up in class for them defensively trying to tame a Georgia Southern offense that averages 36.9 points per game, 495 yards per game and 6.3 yards per play this season.
Georgia Southern is 4-0 SU & 4-0 ATS in its last four home meetings with South Alabama. The Eagles are 7-1 SU & 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall. The Jaguars are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games following a win by more than 20 points. South Alabama is 10-26 ATS in its last 36 games following an ATS win. The Eagles are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Bet Georgia Southern Saturday.

The Stars come into this game hot off consecutive wins while the Oilers just had their five-game winning streak snapped in a 4-3 home loss to the Devils. We'll call for Edmonton to get back on the winning side here as Dallas checks in a woeful 5-18 when playing on the road off consecutive wins by 3+ goals, as is the case here, outscored by an average margin of 1.5 goals in that situation. Also noteworthy is the fact that Dallas is without its starting goaltender Jake Oettinger due to injury, likely leaving this game in the hands of backup Scott Wedgewood. Oettinger has been the superior netminder this season, posting a .952 save percentage in seven games while Wedgewood checks in with a .903 save percentage in five contests. Take Edmonton.
