While I agree with you MMA Scientist that morecraft is a question mark, that does not always stop me from making a bet. One of my bigger bets in recent MMA history was Maia's UFC debut. He was still a question mark, but it did not stop me from betting him. If you wait till a fighter has no questions surrounding him, you usually end up betting the fighter when the value is all but gone.

This is a really good point. If you can identify a guy with a lot of talent early on then you can make a lot of money. I know some guys were able to do this with Machida, and who can forget how big of an underdog JDS was to Werdum?
