Who and why?

Hughes:I think he is being very undervalued in this fight. Almeida hasn't really had any spectacular wins in the UFC. He lost/gassed to Cote (pretty sure he gassed). The next best guy he found was Grove, and he won a decision even though he almost lost his arm in the process. He drops to 170 and submits a guy who has been submitted 7 times out of his 9 losses. I think Hughes is going to grind Almeida out and win a decision. Hughes doesn't have the best stand up, and people are shutting him down because his fight with Renzo, but Hughes didn't even want to engage a grappling match with Renzo, that's why he stood up the whole time. Hughes has already beat Almeida in ADCC...well this doesn't matter really.

Guida- Guida is better then a lot of people think. He beat Tyson Griffin (well Cecil Peoples and friends disagree). Tyson Griffin beat Dos Anjos before he became Sean Sherk, and I think Guida can do something similar to Dos Anjos that Griffin did. The only thing in the fight was that Griffin was almost submitted with a calf slicer. People say Guida has shitty sub defense, but based on what? It's not like Huerta and Florian outgrappled Guida for a sub, they just rocked him bad beforehand. I also like how Guida was able to grind Diaz (who is a good BJJ Guy) out. Dos Anjos used a lot of kicks in his stand up, so if his gameplan is to keep it standing, I can see him throwing a kick and getting taken down. Plus Dos Anjos has been sick and almost pulled out of the fight.

Fitch-Fitch already beat Alves. Alves has been out for a year. He has has weight cutting issues. Blah blah blah.

You could be right on Dos Anjos/Guida. In fact, I hope you are, because I think Guida needs this win, but I'm just not sure. If Dos Anjos wasn't a good grappler in his own right, I'd say yes, Guida's the play for sure. As it is, I'm on the fence.

As for Fitch, I will probably be on him, too.

Yeah I watched it last night.

It was pretty entertaining. Thiago Alves probably lost a few pounds just from laughing at Chael Sonnen. He was sitting next to him and everytime Chael said something Alves would go into hysterics. And he was saying some pretty outrageous shit as usual.
