^^ I doubt Hallman can submit Saunders. Hallman has been around grappling for a long time, but as far as I know, he never officially trained in bjj in the gi. It is like Hughes or Horn, neither of them have rank, but they both have high level skills in submission grappling and would beat most blackbelts. Hallman also has a wrestling base to go with his submission game. Saunders is more of a pure bjj player. As far as tall guys being easy to take down, tall does not necessarily mean easy to shoot on. Tall guys present their own takedown defense problems, I actually think tall guys are more difficult to take down. They are easier to get in on, but harder to lift and control IMO. They can also use their long limbs to control you in weird ways.
Still, I think Hallman can give Saunders problems on the mat. Swick was able to take down and control Saunders, so Hallman ought to be able to as well.
