As big a fan of Almeida's as I am Almeida has nothing for Hughes. His stand up is just as bad as Renzo's and his submission game while very potent could be stifled by Hughes' brand of top control

I have 3u on Hughes right now, if money keeps on coming in on Almeida I might add another 2u. I really think the line is effected by Hughes standing up with Renzo in a very slow paced fight and Almeida putting a clinic on Matt not so good Brown in their last fights. I see Hughes grapplefucking Almeida and not getting subbed.

Hughes needs to be more worried about the sweep or Almeida taking him down than the guard submission IMO. GSP swept Hughes several times even back in the first fight. Hughes has always been prone to sweeps. Carlos Newton used to sweep him all the time. Hughes' takedowns are not what they used to be either. He couldn't even take Renzo down. Serra threw him. Almeida is going to be the bigger man.

I think Hughes will win, but a half hearted effort will not get it done here... Almeida could easily find himself on top in this fight. I think his standup is better than Matt's too. Hughes is going to have to fight smart, this is tough fight for him.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. No subs while on top means nothing if you get swept, which Matt is certainly prone to do.

I don't know shit about bjj but I do read and watch a lot of crap. I forgot about when Serra tossed his ass like he was taking out the trash. That was fucking epic.

Hughes was also manhandled and dominates by Alves, who is going to beat up Fitch.

I really thought Chael had no chance until I read Rios' article on SD. Now that Rios thinks he has no chance, that makes me think he will probably win.

I need to stop reading those breakdowns because it pisses me off how retarded Rios is. I mean, he is a total f'n moron... Its like he just says total nonsense all the time. ^^^ I am woefully uninformed in regard to MMA journalism. I know some of their names, and could pick Jordan Breen out in a lineup just because I've seen his picture, but I really don't know anything about these guys or what they write. Maybe I should pay more attention.
