It actually looked like some kind of front headlock variation on an arm triangle and it was fuckin' sexy.

Sadly Hughes was actually telling the truth there.

We used to try to nap each other with front headlocks in wrestling in HS all the time. This was well before anyone in Indiana knew what an arm triangle was.

That was a legit wrestling front headlock, just applied like a beast. It was awesome.

Well I bet, Hallman, Hughes, Fitch, Guida, and Sonnen (R-Or). I won about 1500 bucks tonight. Awesome night, however I had two crazy parlays tonight that both lost on Sonnen (R-Or). One 10 dollar parlay that would have won 2000 and one 20 that would have won 900. I lost them all when Chael decided to posture upwards instead of staying chest to chest with Anderson and got triangled. I couldnt believe it, i'm still in shock. I had straight bets on Sonnen (R-Or), I would have won like 3 grand. Hot damn, I did pick all the fights tonight though except for Sonnen (R-Or). Even the ones I didnt bet. I regret not betting Story, I thought he would win and he was underdog status at +120.

Wow, congrats dude. Yeah, the wrestlers mostly came through for us tonight. Sorry about the parlay's though. Really sucks that Sonnen couldn't hang on for another half-round.

Yeah I thought he was going to do it. I was pulling money out of my wallet to pay my friends for the entire ppv because I thought he had it. I think he tired himself out too much with the relentless punches and got sloppy/careless. If he went a little slower maybe he would have been mentally more in the game if you know what I mean. Thats what I think happen, he was tired as hell and lost focus. 2 more minutes and I would have been rich. OH well I can't complain, I won.

Yeah I wish I did too but I've gotta be happy with what I've got. thought It would have been sweet to win 3 grand off of a 10 and 20 dollar parlay.

On a cooler note though, I was placing bets in my 5dimes account while drunk and I accidentally put 10 bucks on Silva to win in the 5th round. No bullshit, I did that. And he won.

Nice work, congrats. Every fight that passed, I wished I would have bet. I came super close to betting Hallman and Fitch and didn't pull the trigger.

I cleared almost 5u, but it could have been epic.

As for Sonnen, I really think he just made a mental error and took his foot off the gas. I was actually pulling for him to win. It was pissing me off how Anderson was just trying to stall for a standup and wait for the ref to save him. I think he just started thinking "I am finally champ..." and he just gave it to Anderson. Epic finish to a great card.

Yeah I agree with that, nobody has done what he did. He actually outstruck him in the first round. That was the craziest round I have ever seen. It goes to show you that you can never know what to expect in this sport. Chael outstrikes Anderson in the 1st Rnd and Anderson takes him down. Wow. Chael def burned himself out though, throwing all those punches made him more tired than Anderson.

Wow. What were the odds on that? IIRC that's only the 4th fight in UFC history to be ended in the 5th round.
