I honestly only had a vague awareness of it. Other than a brief stint when I was 23 that lasted only a few months, I left Memphis when I was 15 years old. At that time I heard a lot of shit about Triple 6 but that's all.

I was busy listening to Megadeth and Biohazard and Suicidal Tendencies. I was actually pretty anti-rap at the time.

Mundials were this weekend.

Nate Diaz and Ben Henderson competed in brown belt division. Bendo took 3rd. Diaz did not medal.

Those are the only MMA guys that I can think of.

Well... I don't think he won that match with his grappling to be fair. 3rd at brown is an accomplishment, but it is nothing like winning at black.

yeah i know it wasn't his grappling, but it was good enough defensively to deal with bocek. Also it goes to show how good of an athlete he is.

Well I gues that's how he lost to Pettis.

I don't think he got out grappled by Pettis. IIRC it was getting outstruck. Overall, the fight was pretty close as well. Pettis is pretty damn good too.

Pettis did have his back and almost choked him out at the end of one of the rounds I'm pretty sure. That fight was pretty even all around until round five.
