The only reason competition does no matter is because for this discussion you happen to be on the other side of it. You, yourself have used the argument on many occasions. griffins decisions are against incredibly tough guys. I really do not knock him for it. i just think that Lentz only real avenue of beating Griffin is to outwrestle him, and I just doubt he does. I do not expect Griffin to fight in there like he did against Dunham and try to knock his head off with every punch and leave himself open for takedowns. His camp is to smart for that...but who knows.

If you really think Lentz has such a legit shot, why would you not bet him? The way you talk of this matchup, one would have to assume that Lentz has value in your eyes.

I favor Griffin. I think Griffin will win every round, by just enough with his kicks and combinations. I just think the rounds will be close, Lentz can win by clinching and getting some takedowns. I think there is some value to Lentz, but not enough for me to bet a guy I think is going to lose the fight.

In the end, I think it will look like all of Tyson's fights, really close, and Tyson will edge it out.

I just watched Tyson/Sherk. It was actually pretty close. The first round was the only really decisive round and it went to Sherk. Some things I did notice, the striking of Sherk and Tyson is about even and Sherk could not hold down Tyson. He could get him down but he couldn't hold him down. Tyson was popping right back up real quick.I don't think Lentz will be landing a lot of takedowns on Tyson, but I don't know that Tyson will be landing a lot on Lentz.

Lentz is tough, I think he can wade through punches to stand if Tyson gets him down. If Tyson can get up with Sherk on him, he can probably do the same with Lentz on him. Tyson seems to have the quicker strikes so it might come down to that.

Yeah I am hearing you guys with Tyson, I think he will win but it will probably be close. There isn't a very good line on Tyson anyways. If he were closer to even I would take him. There are no props for him either.

Nothing too controversial. I happen to think Hallman is the best dog, but other than that, it is the usual from Hammersmith. He is pretty ok with his breakdowns but way way way off on his lines. Same as always.

We always get in these long drawn out battles over what usually amounts to a small difference of opinion. I think we both like to sell our positions. I don't know why I do it, but I have an inborn desire to win every one to my side of the argument. I am not even betting the fight (although if they offer the decision prop I will take it) and neither are you.

Just rewatched Lentz/Tavares. Lentz got his face pummeled pretty bad but he did get kicked in the balls a lot. Tough one to call, I'm still leaning towards Tyson but not betting at these odds.

My original position on that fight was that I saw no reason that Rampage could not knock him out. I just didn't know exactly how to pinpoint it technically. Then I saw that gif of Machida charging and Rashad barely missing on a hook and I was like "oh...damn." I got myself in the hole a couple months back making mindless bets, I am not going to do it again. I don't believe in that bet, so I am getting the hell outta dodge.
