I told him it was bullshit and asked him if he knew why exactly. We'll see if he responds. I bet he's depressed as fuck right now and dealing with some asshole reporter is the last thing he wants to do.

I was sort of pissed that they let some guys go, but it has always been contract stuff. I would have liked them to hold on to Werdum for example, but they didn't exactly cut him.

I am more pissed that they keep some guys around despite the fact that they suck while there are other better guys waiting for their chance. Like why is James McSweeney in the UFC (maybe he is cut now- but why was he ever in the UFC).

I mean the dude has fought 4 killers in a row, none of whom anyone has heard of, 3 of them were undefeated and he finished all 3 of them. With 2 KO of the night bonuses, and the other was a candidate.

I was thinking of the Efrain Escudero treatment, but yeah it could be that too.

I guess McKee has a UFC debut coming up now vs. Volkmann.

I'm not sure what to make of Harris after that performance. I was really confident in him before that - really stunned by how that fight went down. There could be some good competition for him in Strikeforce though, so maybe we'll see him there.

The craziest part is if this was indeed for him not engaging in he 3rd, had the round not ended 7 seconds early he was probably going to sleep and he probably wouldn't be cut. So because he tried to gut it out and someone fucked up bigtime, he gets screwed.

Got another text from him when I asked if he had heard anything specific as to why and he just said, "Nothing yet."

I'm hoping this is one of those cuts where everyone on SD hears about it, and then goes insane, and then the next thing you know the fighter's not cut anymore.

To be fair, it makes a hell of a lot more sense than blaming the winning fighter for not taking risks in the late rounds, which is what everyone always seems to do instead.

^ yeah, I totally blame Harris for not taking more chances when he was down 2-0. BUt still, everyone has tough nights. If he didn't feel he could catch him, I don't expect him to go out on shield and risk getting KTFO or cracking an orbital or whatever. I do expect him to try to grapple though if that is the case. He basically just stood there and waited for the clock to run out. But sometimes a guy's stance just baffles you... it even happens in wrestling and bjj... sometimes you just don't see any openings.

Harris should've tried to shoot for sure. But after getting lit the fuck up the last couple of times he got aggressive I can understand him being tentative.

Really the UFC should pat him on the back and tell him it's all good . . . he'll get 'em next time.

                            Re: UFC 123 - Machida/Rampage

UFC president Dana White was openly critical of both fighters at the evening's post-event press conference. The feedback enraged many Falcao supporters who believe their fighter was robbed of a first-round submission win. Today, White told MMAjunkie.com that the Brazilian contingent could take solace in the face that Falcao would eventually return to the octagon with another chance to prove himself deserving of the tag "UFC fighter."

"Their guy us going to stick around," White said in regards to the angered Falcao supporters. "Gerald Harris isn't."
                            What an asshole.

I totally understand why Tito wanted to fight Dana now. I would love to watch Dana try to fight... guy has no idea what it is like in there.
