They'll probably try to set it up after the tourney is my guess or if Overeem is knocked out of the tourney set it up for the finals event

If that's true, I'll probably be on Rogers.

I was saying Cormier I thought could had pressed more for the finish. I think Mir might beat Reem.

    Yeah agree with MMA_evolutionarybiologist.

The fight sucked, but it was just a really bad style matchup. Like, a more competitive Silva/Leites. And the HW version of that is an ugly-ass fight.

I wish Overeem would've worked a jab though, instead of standing around waiting to counter. Although Werdum would've probably flopped to his back after every successful connection.

I think Overeem would beat most guys, but not Cain or JDS. His takedown defense is being blown out of proportion, Werdum does ot have good takedowns. I still think he would beat all but about 3 or 4 of the UFC guys though, as would Werdum IMO.

The other thing is that it is really hard to finish a guy when he keeps flopping down as soon as he gets in danger. It really wasn't Overeem's fault... it is hard to have offense when someone does that. Hell, even Anderson never really hurt Leites when he did it. It doesn't work in MMA, but it pretty good for avoiding damage.

Cormier is almost a replica of Cain Velasquez. Really good striking, good chin, good cardio, great tdd, probably worse takedowns when it comes to mma. I think he's better than alot of the guys that were in the tournament and he could beat any of the 4 remaining. Not saying he would, but i'd give him a solid shot.

Oldereem looked like he just wanted to corner his brother.

Masvidal was pretty impressive. Noons got beat in every area. Part of the reason why his tdd looked so bad was because he became more reckless in the standup later in the fight in search of the ko.

Rogers is a ffight away from getting cut. Let lavar johnson knock his ass into retirement.

Overeem/Werdum was disappointing. Werdum had a good chance to win that fight if he didnt fall down after every punch. His striking isn't bad at all, he just doesn't have much confidence in it. Overeem had good tdd but absorbed shots to the chin in an effort to make sure he wasnt taken down. Should be an interesting match against big foot.
I wouldn't say 'replica' but Cormier does indeed have some obvious similarities to Cain.

I wonder what kind of line we will get on Bigfoot vs Reem

I probably lean Bigfoot, but unlike most others around here who seem to have not been, Barnett really impressed me last night. There was not a single moment he was not in control of that fight.
