But most people that don't like it just had some california rolls or something. You can get it will all sorts of crap on it, crab lumped on top, temura shrimp in it, lots of sauces and what not... I didn'y care for it until all of the sudden I had some good sushi.
I would never even think about trying to make it at home though.
Yes very big differnce in the cheap stuff they serve at a buffet and the stuff I actually like. I actuall dont like a california roll,it just cucumber, avacado and crab ,not eonight for me.
Here's my favorite roll to make:
Its actually pretty easy to make at home. I watched alot of how to videos on youtube before attempting it .The hardest part is learning to roll it and cutting the roll but once you figure that out its easy. All you need is a bamboo roller and a shape chefs knife. Its WAY cheaper to make at home then to get at a good place. I only have around 2.50 wrapped up in roll that costs 12.50 at a resturant and thats with salmon 15 dollars a pound, tuna 19.99 a pound and jumbo shrimp 19.99 a pound .You only need about an once of meat per roll

I can't even get past the idea of eating cold rice.
its pretty good and I dont even really like rice. You clean the rice before cooking it so it takes off alot of the flour and starch and its real sticky after cooking. Then you boil a vinegar, sugar, and salt mixture to pour over the rice

^^ for example, I find beer to be disgusting. Also coffee.
I am not into self torture. So i never punish myself into an "acquired taste." If I dont like it, I am done with it forever. I have never had a beer, it tastes like piss water to me.
No shit! I'm the exact same.I've had like two cups of coffee in my entire life. I did drink beer though from the time I was about 16-22 because I was "suppose too" but like you said screw it because I hated the shit.I cant stand beer ,it just tastes like shit until you get about 6 down.I'm a margarita person now

Beer kicks ass!
I find that you have to find what you like, though. I mean, PBR tastes worlds different than, say, AmberBock or Guiness or a lot of your local microbrews.
Personally, I hated beer when I first started drinking. I literally could not finish a Bud Light if you gave it to me. Then I got introduced to Corona, and it was much better, so that's all I drank for a long time. Then I expanded from there and tried a lot of different things and now I have found a lot of beers that I genuinely like to drink.
The "acquired taste" thing is true though, because now that I've drank so much beer of different varieties, I can actually drink PBR or Bud Light or whatever just fine. It's not my first choice, but on a budget it's okay.
