i have heard many of you say that you do not think just betting dogs is a good system....are you attacking that system?

I would certainly say that I think it's a foolish way to play because you're passing up so many good opportunities. But I do know someone--one of the very first people to give me some guidance in the early phases of my betting career--who mostly just plays dogs, and he makes money. So I don't hate on it. I realize that that's his comfort zone and, as Scientist said, this game is as much mental/emotional as it is mathematical and we have to play in a way that takes into account our own personal tendencies.

With that said, I think he (my acquaintance) would make more money if he broadened his horizons a bit.

OK, so you can disagree with a way a person bets, and it is not considered an attack. I agree.

LOL! You would if you actually knew me. First off, I think your politics are close to mine, because you like to use the word elitist. So I would guess you are a conservative guy. Second, I love to hang around hothead tough guy types. You know, the guys that are ready to throw down when things are not going their way.

Conservative isn't something I would classify Myself as but thats fine. I'm not sure what the connection between us is concerning the word elitist other than the fact that I've used that word to describe you a few times now. What a coincidence. I always liked to laugh at the guys who would take any joke so literally that they would think it were a personal attack against them. You squirrelly types are pretty funny when ya'll get going.

SPX, this where the problem is I believe. Many in here think that my way of not ever betting heavy faves. is not correct. and you may think that me putting such a low limit on the line is plain silly. And that is fine. I do not look at that as an attack. it is a simple disagreemnet. Scientists and I are actually not that far off from one another when it comes to limits.

I personally do not think betting anything @ -400 or higher ever is a good idea. but that is my opinion, it is not an attack. I also believe those who make those bets frequently have a severely flawed system. Once again, it is just an opinion. I bring up certain things because I have been doing this for quite awhile, maybe from now on, i will refrain from that sort of talk.

But seriously, when someone disagrees with your position they are not attacking you. Bringing persoanl stuff up and name calling is attacking.

Fair enough.

No one ever really had a problem with the way you do things. You can bet however you want. Everyone here has a different way and at the end of the day all that's important is that we come out ahead.

I would just put the brakes on telling other people how to do their shit. Unless it's PP when he's chasing his losses at 100 MPH. (Though most of us have chased at one time or another. I for damn sure have.)

And for some reason, other people seemed to get upset with it. A couple of people chimed in and agreed with me, and they also were not attacking anyones system or the way they bet.
